However it all work when I use cellular data. WebDec 21, 2015 · The result can be your phone using WAY more data than it has in the recent past. A work around is a simple change in settings: Settings>Cellular>Wi-Fi Assist (it's at the VERY bottom). Turn this off. The default is for it to be on which will "Automatically use cellular data when Wi-Fi connectivity is poor". I did this and it has helped a LOT.
