Ejector mark on brass
WebMar 9, 2024 · I agree with the gentleman stating that a chronograph is a must and also following reloading manuals. Personally for me it is bolt lift and ejector marks because the bolt faces in my gun allow the ejector to reliably print ejector marks on the brass when pressure starts to rise above safe levels. WebI've been getting a lot of brass on the bolt face, lugs, and into the chamber of my rifle. The extractor seems to be chewing up the case head as well as leaving scratches down the side of the case. The ejector is also leaving smear marks on the case head with factory ammo and even when using light hand loads.

WebAug 15, 2024 · It SEEMS to be that the ejector hole rim is what is scraping the brass off the face of the case. I don't know what else it could be. But the rim itself feels and looks perfect -- no high-spot or ding in it. The top of the ejector is smooth as can be. I figure someone must have run into this before . TIA for any advice. WebMar 20, 2024 · Here is my brass from shooting today. 151 AH, TAC, CCI 200, COAL 2.835. Left to right in increasing powder charge. Shot about 1 MOA which is a miracle in this rifle doing a ladder. You can see the "ejector" mark on the unfired case. It was 47.5 gr of TAC, and coincidentally it was the only clean case neck after firing.
