I bought them through the Treasury Direct website and the website doesn’t seem to have any calculators or show your overall performance. WebI’d probably use vanguard, but that’s just because I hate using the treasurydirect site. Broadly, the only differences are (1) vanguard allows you to trade on the secondary market and (2) vanguard auction bids are limited to smaller sizes. I have my checking account linked with TD and I have purchased I-Bonds through TD without a problem.
